The constant deficit in the current account declined by 21.1% from the previous quarter to $194.3 million in Q4/2014. The largest deficit was in the trade balance of goods, which amounted to $1,284.1 million. This quarter the trade balance of services experienced a surplus of $8.8 million, compared to a deficit of $36.0 million in Q3/2014. This change occurred as a result of an increase in the export of travel services and a drop in the import of such services.
The capital and financial account witnessed a surplus of $186.1 million. It was caused by a surplus of $99.9 million in the capital account and of $86.2 million in the financial account.
