In Q4/2014 there were 123 operating hotels in the West Bank. These hotels were visited by 153 thousand guests, which marked an increase of 53% from the third quarter, when the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip had a particularly negative effect on tourism in the West Bank. However, the number of guests still remained 20% below the corresponding figure for Q4/2013. Of all guests, 27% came from the European Union, while 10% were Palestinians. The guests spent a total of 406 thousand guest nights, 49% more than in the previous quarter and 17% less than in the corresponding quarter of 2013.
